Home Exercises to Achieve A Better Posture

Get It Beauty Season 2 Ep 8 Recap: Improve Your Posture and Makeup Tips for the Summer

I spend all day on my bed when I am studying and watching TV on my laptop, so I am pretty sure my posture isn't that great. I got interested when Get It Beauty enlisted physiotherapist In Young Ah to  teach the audience how to improve your posture while staying in shape.

However I am skeptic as to if these exercise would work. Like the first exercise you are leaning forward when you squat down and then raise one leg which makes my body all unbalanced. It feels like I am contorting my body instead of improving my posture. However since it's shown on TV and a physiotherapist is showing the exercise, it seems to have credibility. Bottom Line: I don't know if these exercise work. I only saw this from TV and felt that it is interesting so I am sharing it with you guys. Do it at your own risk as I am not responsible for any injuries resulting from completing these exercise.

1. spread you leg shoulder width apart.
2. lean forward and squat.
3. raise your arms when going down.
4. keep you hips straight rise back up and raise one leg
it helps tighten your hips.

Get it Beauty ep 9 Boy Group Idol Makeup

Korean Boy Group Idol Makeup

We have seen a trend in makeup where boy group are wearing lots of dramatic makeup.

In episode 9 of Get It Beauty, it shows tips on getting makeup that male idols wear.

The most noticeable makeup the guys usually have on is eyeliner. Once you say eyeliner, G-dragon's name comes up.

However there are also lots of other male idols that are known to put on eyeliner such as
male idols with eyeliner
Exo's Baek Hyun          Infinite's Sung Gyu           Shinee's Key                 Block B's Zico
In this episode, SPEED were special guest and they demonstrated the eyeliner look on one of the boys. I forgot his name but he looks so cute.

After the makeup, he instantly became cool.

The makeup artist took a chubbier black eyeliner and lined the eyes in the front and end of the eyes, keeping the center unlined. Then blended. Repeated the same underneath the eye.

The second type of makeup they demonstrated was Exo's Xiumin's shading makeup
It was just blending beige eyeshadow and giving her strong eyebrows

Then they demostrated Exo's Baek hyun's burgundy eye makeup

first use a burgundy color under the eye, darker near the ends and gradually getting thinner near the middle.
then use a darker burgundy color to line the eyes and give more contour.
the most important part is gray colored contact lens.

Lastly the most dramatic makeup seen sported by male idols were the vampire makeup seen on Vixx.

The tip here was to tightline the top and bottom eyes entirely with a black liner. Then using a normal flat paintbrush, cut some bristles away so it becomes jagged. Moisten the brush then dip it in black eyeshadow and draw it across the top part of the eye and out. Instant drama.

I don't know about anybody else but I was expecting them to do a blind testing. I basically watch Get It Beauty to see which item they find is the best in their category but for the past two episode, the show didn't reveal any Blind Test. Wish they would bring it back. :)

What boy makeup trend do you think you would try?

For me, I think the burgundy makeup would look pretty nice on me.

Get It Beauty Ep 8 Brides Special

Recap of Tips from Get It Beauty Season 2 Episode 8: Brides Special

The new trend on weddings have changed from large princess like weddings to small close knit weddings.
bridal makeup tips from get it beauty

This episode Lee Hyori's wedding which I though was one of a kind. Another famous person who also held a small scaled wedding was Mark Zuckerberg

Hyori only invited a close group friends. She took all her wedding photos herself and held her wedding at her home. Her honeymoon was a roadtrip around Europe.

To keep up with the trend of small weddings, its fitting to do your own makeup

Wedding Makeup- the makeup artist calls it the fairy makeup

1. use white mascara underneath brown colored mascara- the lighter color makes eye pop
2. use gold eyeshadow. use one shade for the entire makeup.
place one dot in the center of eye
one underneath at end of eye
another on the center of cheeks and then blend out-the  on cheeks looks more brown

a peachy nude color on the lips

Tips for natural wavy hair

1. Pull up your hair into a high ponytail.
2.Then curl your hair.
Putting your hair in a ponytail instead of letting your hair down makes it a lot easier to curl your ahir yourself.

bridal wavy hair tip

Getting a messy hair bun

1.pull you hair in a high ponytail.
2.Rake your hair up and backwards.

3.Then pull the top layers a tiny bit out for some volume.

4.Then braid the hair and hold it at the bottom with an elastic.

5.Then main point. Hold a couple pieces of hair at the bottom and push the rest up until it squishes all up and then wrap the rest into a bun and bobby pin in place.

6.After lightly rub your crown so that its a bit messy.

7. rake your hair up and back and with your hand in place spray hairspray and hold for 2 second. Repeat through the rest of your hair line and this will hold all the tiny hairs in place.

Did you know they sell pure vitamin C powder? I had no idea until this episode. The dermatologist said to mix the vitamin C powder with your normal moisturizer.

Pyramid makeup-

1.Another surprise, the makeup artist dipped her pointed foundation brush into moisturizer , rubbed it in well and then swirled it into her guerlain powder. What!! that's a total no no in my book. Mixing moisture with powder. She said to make sure not to put too much powder on the brush and since she is only highlighting the face lightly, it shouldn't clump that much. By moisturizing your brush first, it makes the powder less powdery and more of a shimmery and glowing feel. She then dabbed the highlighter on her forehead, nose bridge and side of nose. Make sure the highlight on the side of nose does not extend beyond the eye area.

2. using a small brush, place brown shadow near the top lash line.

3. dust shimmery eyeshadow on the top inner half

4. blend a coral shadow on the entire top lid

5. add highlight to the center, right underneath the brow.

How to prevent tears from ruining your makeup

If your makeup is not waterproof the makeup artist said to cry with your face down so the the tears doesn't drip down your face and will drip directly down to the ground.

I think for this episode it is best to watch the actual video since the pictures does not do justice for how pretty the makeup looks. It is the best natural makeup look.

Get It Beauty Episode 6 Tips

This episode of Get It Beauty focused on sun protection and reminded people the following:

-need to apply nickel to quarter size amount of sunscreen to your face

-4 spots where sunscreen wears off easily
nose, cheek, forehead and hairline

-don't forget to apply sunscreen to you back of neck

-our temperature on our face is about 5-6 degrees celsius lower than body temperature which is about 31 degrees celsius or 87.8 degrees fahrenheit
-higher temperature will lead to redness and dryness and can destroy collagen causing wrinkles to form. It's important to maintain skin temperature in the summer to prevent premature aging.

How To Apply An Adequate Amount Of Sunscreen Without Makeup Looking Pastey

The makeup artist recommended to use a brush to apply the sunscreen because the brush doesn't have heat which makes it more easier to apply a thicker layer over the skin. You can use your fingers to blend out any areas that is too thick after.

He then spread makeup onto the skin with a spatula and then sponged it in. His reasoning for using a spatula as opposed to a brush is that makeup applied thinly with a brush doesn't last long. There are two sides to a sponge. -use the uncoated side to keep makeup adhered onto the skin better then use the coated side to give the skin a nice finish. This is the first time that I have seen makeup spread on the skin with a spatula. I don't think its necessary and is best left to the professional but if you guys have a the chance to try it out, let me know how it worked for you

To prevent eyeliner from smudging

For those with extremely smudgable eyeliner, you can dip an eyeliner in transparent mascara and apply a layer above the eyeliner-acting like a waterproof seal.

Make your own bold and colorful lashes

colored fake lashes

What I loved most about his tips were the colored fake lashes. He made the colored fake lashes himself by using a toothpick to apply nail polish on top of normal fake lashes. He said to apply a little bit at a time to prevent clumps. Let dry and apply more nail polish until opacity of color is reached.

pink colored fake lashes on top orange colored lashes on bottom

Colored lashes looked extremely nice on the model. I'll probably try this out when I am feeling bold

In episode 6 there were no blind beauty test so don't waste your time watching only to find out that section was missing.

Do you think you would try out any of these tips?
